Additional Items Required

Apart from budgeting for your RC Model Vehicle, you must make allowances for some vital pieces of equipment.

Fuel
We stock nitro fuel by Model Technics and over the last 3 years we have found it to be the leading manufacturer both in price and quality.
Available in 5%, 10%, 16%, 20% and 25% nitro content, we would recommend either 10% and certainly no higher than 16% for running in your car.
The lower the nitro content - the cheaper the fuel!
Available in half or full gallons
Guide price:
10% Half Gallon £8.95
10% Full Gallon £15.15
Batteries

Your RC model WILL require batteries. Usually the 'AA' alkaline batteries, 12 of them!
8 are fitted into your radio transmitter and the other 4 are fitted into the rc car to power the receiver and on-board servos etc.

Battery life of the transmitter is good as the drain is pretty low but be prepared to replace the batteries in the car on quite a regular basis.

Use a good quality battery like Ansmann or Duracell
Available in store

Fuel Bottle
Your fuel will be supplied in either a half or a full gallon container and the way to get the fuel from these containers into you models fuel tank is by way of a fuel bottle.
Guide price for you fuel bottle is around £3.00
Glow Start
The Glow Start is a device that when starting your engine, clips onto the glow plug in order to heat it.
There are many designs and types on the market but we strongly recommend a rechargeable type that, once charged, will provide you with a good day's use. A glow star with no charge or batteries that are old will stop your car from starting.
Guide price for a rechargeable glow start is around £12.99 but prices do vary if you choose one with a high capacity battery.
