Owning and flying your very own 'jet' aircraft used to be the domain of the wealthy modeller.
Now, it's fair to say that owning your own EDF is within the reach of practically everyone.
As the descriptive 'JET' suggests, these models are only recommended for the intermediate to advanced pilot due to the breathtaking performance that they offer.
Most of the models to the right are of a foam construction and can be assembled quite easily with a minimum of fuss.
All of the models shown (right) come complete with brushless motors and fan units. The Phase 3 F16 even includes the required speed controller too!
Flight times vary dependant on battery installed in the aircraft.
The models shown recommend 3S Lipo and having flown all but the A4, from a 2200mah, you can expect a 10-12 minute flight from such as the Phase 3 F16 and a little less from the GWS twin EDF F15.
Prices start at around £66 for the kits and all require servos, radio gear, flight battery as a minimum.
