FMS - Setting up your controller (Helicopter)

Many of you have purchased one of the fabulous Twister helicopters. The model, which now includes a USB lead enables you to practice mastering the controls on your PC before you even fly the real thing.
Some customers have experienced difficulties in getting their controller to work on their flight simulator software. This is quite understandable in that a little technical knowledge is required to do so and as a new pilot, you're probably unsure about the various settings and technical terms.

So, here's the answer to the controller setup.
Once you've installed FMS and have connected the USB lead to your PC and the controller, .aunch the program and look for 'CONTROLS' on the top menu bar (as below)

The FMS Menu Bar

Select CONTROLS and then form the drop down menu, choose ANALOGUE CONTROL.....

You should now see something like this
FMS Controller Interface
Select JOYSTICK INTERFACE and then click Mapping / Calibration button.
You should then have a screen appear like this....
FMS Mapping / Calibration
Notice the 'CHANNEL' Column and how the numbers are different to default settings? - Set yours up to read exactly as you see them above. Follow the instructions on the Calibrate screen and there you have it!
Select 'SIMULATION' from the main menu and then 'INITIALIZE' and your controller will work fine.
